Spanning the North Wales Coast Line from Crewe to Holyhead, and also featuring the iconic Conwy Castle across 85 miles of cross-border railway line, Train Simulator’s North Wales Coastal route marries seaside views with both local and inter-city services from Arriva Trains Wales and Virgin Trains West Coast. Included are 12 scenarios for the North Wales Coastal – Crewe to Holyhead route, all of which are based on real timings. All scenarios are based between 2017 – 2018, when Arriva Trains Wales still had the franchise.

Description

It's the 19th of July 2020, and many passengers have boarded the 'North Wales Coast Express' in Liverpool, ahead of a day out behind Black 5 No. 44871 to Holyhead and back. At around 12 noon, disaster strikes! The loco develops a fatal leak and blows out a large amount of piping hot water onto the track, and the loco has to be looped at Holywell Junction ahead of a fitter's attention. Because of safety reasons, the fire is dropped, and the whole charter is relying on you, the rescue loco, to take the train, with the steam loco in tow, to Holyhead, so at least the passengers can get their money's worth!
